Social Media ROI Measurement

How do we measure social media success?

As is the case in cultivating any strong relationship, social media is a long-term investment in itself.  Measuring your return on your social media investment includes both tangible and intangible metrics based upon the goals of your social media program.

If your organization is only into social media for the short-term “quick sell”, you may bring more damage than benefit to your brand.

The more immediate currency of the social web is social and brand capital which is measured by the degree of loyalty, quality of relationships and emotional bonds between brand and consumer/influencer which ultimately drives economic behavior.  Social capital metrics include, but are certainly not limited to, the composite of positive ratings, reviews, views, links, user-generated content, comments and more.

Social Frequency can help you develop the right metrics and social media ROI measurement forumla as part of your overall Social Media Strategy .
